Description
Erbaluna is known to produce impressive wines. The estate has a long standing history with records of recognition since the early 1920s. Some of these wines are still stored in the cellars!
A farm named by Andrea Oberto's grandparents 75 years ago, he and his brother Severino decided to convert to organic farming in the 1980s. Situated in La Morra in the heart of Langhe hills, made from 50 year old vines, Erbaluna Barolo is an elegant wine. Hand harvested grapes are carefully transferred to the wine making facilities. After a 24 day period of maceration the wine is then aged in large Slovenian oak barrels before release. (Some barrels date back to 1915.)
