Description
A family property that started with just 1 ha of Saint-Joseph and a few vines to rent, today the estate represents 45 ha in the appellations of Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie and Vins de Pays.
At the Chèze estate, the unique characteristics of each parcel are preserved through sustainable practices.
This is a single-varietal wine from granite slopes in Condrieu. Grapes are hand harvested and sorted to ensure only the very best are used. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels while stirring on lees. The wines are aged for 10 months in barrels and bottled without filtration.
The Pagus Luminis cuvée has been made since the 1993 vintage. It comes from a 2 hectare plot of land located in the Limony hills with southern exposure.
