Description
The Campot single-vineyard is south-east facing at 280m elevation; it is located on a very small parcel of land that is surrounded by vineyards that are planted to Nebbiolo. The vineyard consists of white calcareous and clay soils.
Harvest is completed entirely by hand, selecting only the finest quality grape bunches. Once in the winery, maceration is completed over the course of approximately 9 days in stainless steel tanks with periodic punch downs. Wine is then aged in stainless steel for over 10 months before it is bottled without fining or filtration. Bottles are stored horizontally and aged at the winery for a minimum of 3 months before it is released to market.

Taste
This is a great example of Dolcetto, showing power and finesse. The fruit is dark and lush with tart and ripe blackberry, blueberry, and plums. The fruit is supported by an underlying violet florality and notes of dark baking chocolate and black pepper. The wine is dry with fine, grippy and nicely integrated tannins.
