Description
As of 2006, Chateau Musar was the first producer in Lebanon to achieve organic certification for its vineyards. The Hochar family’s philosophy is to show upmost respect for the environment.
The 180 hectares of Musar vineyards are managed with minimal intervention, producing wines that are a pure expression of the land from which they came.
The Musar Jeune wines were first produced in 2007, these unoaked, vibrantly fruity wines, made from the fruit of youthful Bekaa Valley vines, were introduced to meet the demand for a ‘current drinking’ Musar range
Jeune White is an unoaked blend of Viognier (40%), Vermentino (30%) and Chardonnay (30%) from vines planted in the year 2000 at around 1,000m above sea level in the Bekaa Valley. At the winery, the wine is fermented in cement-lined vats and released one year after harvest.

Taste
Highly complex aromas in this blend of Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay. A clear, bright subtle lemon colour, with stone fruit aromas of peaches, apricots and a herby (thyme and oregano) mineral character. Fruit and minerality are the main qualities of this wine but this vintage also has an impressive gentle but full bodied texture.
