Description
‘Nonni’ is named in honour of the winemaker’s great grandfathers, Pedro Angulo & Angel Innocenti, who were both vintners. Located in La Consulta, Uco Valley, the climate hosts cool sunny days turning into cool mountain nights.
The Malbec grapes for ‘Nonni’ are planted to the double guyot trellising system on sandy soils containing round, calcareous rocks. The grapes are hand harvested and brought to winery where the wine under goes 3 days of cold maceration in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation takes approximately 7 days using indigenous yeasts. 30% of the wines is aged in used French oak for 6 months
