Description
The Musella Estate is located just east of Verona close to the village of Ferrazze. There are three vineyards, Monte del Drago, Perlar and Palazzina, on three different hills that are biodynamically farmed. Biodynamic farming, for Musella, means fertilization, cultivation and breeding are implemented in ways that respect and promote the fertility and vitality of the soil as well as abolishing the use of synthetic mineral fertilizers and chemical pesticides. The care taken in the vineyard and winery are reflected in the vibrant and complex wines that they produce.
The Monte del Drago is an appassimento wine made with Corvina (50% - dried for three weeks) and Cabernet Sauvignon (50% - dried for two weeks). The wines are vinified separately and then rest for 18 months in new tonneau for the Cabernet and 1-2 years old tonneau for the Corvina.
