Description
Maison Charles Francois Père et Fils is a family owned winery situated in Nantoux in the heart of Côtes de Beaune. The first vines of the estate were planted in the early 1900s and through successive years, the Domaine acquired plots of land that fall under Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and in the notable villages of Volnay, Pommard, Meursault and Beaune. In 1988 Domaine Charles Francois Père et Fils was officially established. Today the estate is run by Francois's son and grandaughter under the name Domaine Charles Père et Fille. Pascal and Pauline adhere to traditional wine making techniques and embrace the Burgundian style. They have expanded the portfolio to include Gevery-Chambertin, Chablis and Nuit-Saint-Georges.
Grapes are harvested manually from vines with an average age of 30 years. The grapes go through a long and gentle pressing process to preserve the purity of the fruit. After fermentation, the wine is aged in Oak for 12 months before its release.

Taste
The wine has notes of cherry, raspberry and nuances of undergrowth and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with smooth rounded mouth feel while keeping the backbone structure of the wine intact with its bright acidity. The slight florality of the wine elevates the drinking experience making this a classic Burgundian Pinot Noir to be enjoyed slightly chilled to bring out its true character.
