Description
The Matto brand is a collaboration between Cristian Tombacco of Vinicola Tombacco in Veneto and Tony Macchione of Stem Wine Group. They aimed for wine that could be enjoyed by many different palates and be extremely versatile with various cuisines. The literal translation of “MATTO” from Italian is “crazy” and represents its creators’ Insane Passion for Wine.
Select, healthy grapes undergo 3 days of whole maceration in steel vats before the wine is decanted into steel tanks where the fermentation is completed. After fermentation the wine is filtered, decanted and then bottled. This wine is vegan friendly.

Taste
Pleasant and delicate fruit aromas which are characteristic, intense and suggestive of apple and figs. The palate is dry, velvety, tasty and fruity with a slight after-taste of bitter almond; it is light-bodied and harmonic with refreshing acidity.

1-3 yrs. Best drunk when young.

Food Matching
Excellent as an aperitif and ideal with seafood salads and main courses based on fish and crustaceans. It is perfect with white meats, and boiled, grilled or fried fish.
